Would you like a unique piece of art featuring something special to you?

I love painting places that are special to people. It brings me so much joy to know that I have created a piece of art which will be enjoyed for years to come and bring happy memories. Below is some more information on my art services and a few select examples of commissions I have undertaken. If you would like to discuss commissioning me to create a piece of artwork for you please do get in touch.

Subjects

Landscapes are my speciality and the subject I focus on for my commercial work. However I also undertake both human and animal portraits. I would ask you to supply a good quality reference photograph of your subject I can work from, which I can return afterwards. I may have to ask for more than 1 photo to give me the best range to work from, especially in the case of human or pet portraits but that is not always necessary.

Styles

I like to work in several different styles and I can offer you the choice of your subject as an acrylic painting, watercolour illustration or pencil drawing.

For my paintings I use Daler Rowney System 3 or Windsor & Newton Galleria acrylics on either canvas or canvas board. To create my illustrations I use Ecoline watercolour pens, Windsor & Newton drawing inks and Uniball fine liner drawing pen on Windsor & Newton Watercolour 300g/m paper.

Colour & Sizes

I can create your artwork in either colour or greyscale depending on what we think would work best for the image.

At the moment I am able to offer pieces in a range of sizes from A5 (148 x 210mm) to 1m x 1m. For artwork larger than this I would need to hire an alternative studio space which would need to be reflected in the price.

Gifts

I have created pieces for individuals themselves but I have also been asked to paint scenes as gifts for others. If you would like to give a truly special and memorable present to someone you care for I would be delighted to to discuss this with you.

Commissions

Japan Landscape

I painted this for a lovely couple last year for their wedding. This beautiful Japanese pond was a really special part of their trip to Japan and they wanted to be reminded of their travels there every day. It was an honour to be asked to paint this for them.

Crushed Vehicles for Motor Insurer’s Bureau

This acrylic painting was a commission by the Motor Insurer’s Bureau for their offices depicting vehicles that had been seized for having no insurance and crushed.

Testimonials

“Allie painted a beautiful depiction of one of our favourite places in the world for our wedding. Beautifully presented, immaculately finished, it brought us right back. Couldn’t recommend her work highly enough.” Mr & Mrs Teh

Care Instructions

I use professional quality paints and I apply at least 2 coats of varnish in your chosen finish of matt, satin or gloss to my paintings. I would advise that to best look after the work not to hang it in direct sunlight or above a radiator. It is also advisable to avoid rooms where humidity could be a problem such as a bathroom or possibly kitchen.

If purchasing one of my unframed watercolour illustrations it is advisable in addition to the steps above to place it in a glass covered frame.
